OOR WULLIE'S BUCKET TRAIL – 2016

OOR WULLIE'S BUCKET TRAIL – 2016

The ARCHIE Foundation and DC Thomson are pleased to bring this exciting Public Art Event to Dundee.

Oor Wullie's Bucket Trail will feature up to 50 sculptures forming a trail across Dundee and the surrounding area to create a fun, free Art Gallery to take people on a journey of discovery for ten weeks during the Summer of 2016.

The Oor Wullie sculpture has been inspired by the Wee Rascals 80th Anniversary and the ARCHIE Foundation's Tayside Appeal to make a difference to the lives of local sick children.

Following the event, the Artworks will be auctioned to raise invaluable funds for The ARCHIE Foundation and Tayside Children's Hospital.

John Lowrie Morrison OBE has been commissioned to paint one of the Oor Wullie sculptures which he hopes will raise lots of pennies for sick kids ….

jeelly pieces and lots of critically needed stuff for The Bairns.

QUOTE:

“Iam extremely honoured to be asked to paint one of the Oor Wullie Sculptures for The Bucket Trail.

It is a great privilege to be involved as … like most folk of my age Oor Wullie is part of my childhood … never missing an issue of The Sunday Post or the Oor Wullie Annual !

It's also a privilege to be helping towards raising funds for The Archie Foundation.

A wonderful charity which needs to be supported.”
