I am a Class teacher at Dean Park Primary School in Edinburgh, currently teaching P1/2 (age 5 and 6). We have recently done a whole topic on Scotland and one of the things we did was a Scottish Artist study where we looked at some of your paintings and tried to achieve a similar effect by ourselves. We were also looking at Katie Morag stories and the children thought that some of your paintings reminded them of what the Isle of Struay might look like! I know that you are most likely very busy and have probably been sent lots of pictures before but I thought it might be nice to send you some of their work to have a look at as they really enjoyed looking at your work and took a lot of pride in theirs. I apologise that the pictures arent very clear, I do have individual pictures of each of the children's paintings but I thought that might be a bit much to send!

We also watched a few videos to learn about your expressive painting style and very much enjoyed watching a video of you discussing your favourite Scots words. The children are now very keen on using the word 'Bumfle' and perhaps more so in asking to go to the cludgie!
